Logging in to the iLobby Companion app

iLobby mobile app is intended to be used by employees as a companion application to the iLobby Kiosk.

You can download the iLobby Visitor Registration (Companion) application from Apple App Store and Google Play for free.

In order to use iLobby Companion app, your email address should be a part of your company’s address book.

Logging in as a host

Host is an employee who has a profile in the address book. The iLobby Address Book needs to be populated with host (employee) profiles in order for guests to be able to select a host on the iLobby kiosk, and for the hosts to be notified of a visitor. Please refer to the Configuring Address Book article to find out more about it. 

Hosts don’t have access to portal.goilobby.com to view their visitors. For this purpose, they can use iLobby Companion app. To log in as a host, do the following:

1. Launch the iLobby companion app on your smartphone. You will be prompted to enter your email address. Enter the same email address you have in your address book profile. 


2. Tap on the blue Let’s start button. As hosts don’t have access to portal.goilobby.com and don’t have a password, in order to verify your email address, tap on Send activation link by email.  If your email address exists in the address book of your company, you will receive an email with the link to verify your email address.

Tapping on Re-send activation email will send a new verification email to the specified email address.
Selecting the Start over option, will return you to the very first screen of the app.

If you see the following message on this step, your email address is not part of your company’s address book.


Please contact the iLobby account administrator of your company in order to add your email address to the address book. 

3. Check your inbox, and open the verifications email.
If you can’t find an email from us, please check the spam folder. Emails from us can sometimes end up there. If the email is not in the spam folder too, please contact support@ilobby.com for assistance.
Click on the green Verify email button, or copy and paste the link from the email to a new browser window.


You should see the verification confirmation.



You can use the verification link once. If you click on it for the second time, you will see the following message:


Once your email address is verified, the iLobby app will log in automatically. 

Logging in as a user

Users have access to the iLobby portal (portal.goilobby.com). Please refer to the article on how to add users to the iLobby portal Setting up usersUsers of the iLobby portal can also use iLobby Companion app. 
- Users must have a profile in the iLobby Address book to use the companion app.
- Features users see in the Companion app depend on their role's permissions.

1. Launch the iLobby companion app on your smartphone.
2. Enter your email address and tap on Let’s start.
3. Enter the same password you use for logging in to portal.goilobby.com in the new field. You are logged in!
