About the Welcome Screen

Visitors initially see the Welcome screen on the device. Once they tap Touch to start or touch anywhere on the Welcome screen, the sign-in process begins.

If your portal supports multiple languages, visitors select a language from this screen: all text labels in the app then change to reflect the selected language.

Welcome Screen

Supported languages and the order in which they are shown are controlled in the portal by going to the Settings   , then Configuration, then clicking on the name of your site, and selecting the Personalizations tab.
Note: If more than one language is supported, be sure that each language/keyboard is added to the device's settings.

The Welcome screen typically shows your company logo, which must be uploaded. Logos should be transparent .png format images: recommended size is 700 x 300 pixels.
Note that some devices may require different size logos, due to screen and resolution variances.

The bottom left corner of the Welcome screen shows the iLobby URL and an indicator of the system's internet connection:
  1. green indicator means the device is online
  2. yellow indicator means the app is loading changes made in the backend
  3.  red indicator means the device if offline, with no Internet connection (the app continues to operate and record visitor sign-ins, which will be uploaded to the portal when the connection is restored, but no notifications will be sent while the device is offline)
Note: The iLobby app requires a strong and stable connection to the internet in order to function properly.

The screen is also used to signing out: visitors cannot sign out until they have signed in.

To see how signing out from the iLobby app works, see Signing out from the iLobby Application.
